La mezcla de jóvenes y viejos es fantástico.

I was in Barcelona with a couple of guys from my training for kind of camp.
we had a fixed planed scedule ->
morning: training at the beach
Afternoon: relax
Evening: Training with the spanish Hapkido-Class.

it was pretty hard to go truh all those training-units. However it was worth it. :)

Nevertheless we also could enjoy the beauty and the versatility of this amazingly city. We've been out side the City in an appartment which i can just recommand if somebody wants to have more privacy. It took us a 5minute walk to the beach and some more to walk to the city.. the walk from the appartment into the city is beautiful and allway allong the beach. If you should be tired on your walk you can easly stop some Rikschas-Driver and they like to give you a ride for easy money. The good thing on such a ride is, that you can get some insider-informations, like where is the place to be at night, what do you have to visite if you are interessted in cultur and stuff like this....

so.. our first trip into the city brang us dirktly to "Las Ramblas". It's a beautiful street, guess one that never sleeps. You can pass along this street and you will find everytime a bunch of individuals there. We went there on a Sunday afternoon it was surprisingly quiet buzy. You can find everything there, from different tasty restaurants to little sourvenier shops, to funny artist they are costumed in different styles which whom you can take funny pictures. Last but not least there are some amazingly painters on it as well.

what has me impressed the most? hmm.. i think all those different buildings from Gaudi. Every building is so individual and totaly crazy. It's just impressing what kind of idea this guy had. I'm still impressed by his work.

A beautiful place to be is Park- Montjuic we went there with the double-decker-bus... it was amazing, sure we had to walk quiet alot but it was just amazing to be up this mountain and enjoy the view over Barcelona.

but i could tell so much about this beautiful city..
however, here some pictures.. :) enjoy it.

Stuttgart

Several Weeks ago I was in Stuttgart with my lovely friend Corinne and Christopher.
We went there by train, it took us around 3hours to get there.

After the arriving in Stuttgart, we started directly to search the Hotel. This time it was close to the Train-Station : ) It took us a 5Minute walk.
The Arcotel-Hotel looked great from the outside and it showed us hughe rooms in the inside. So we had to say that we can stay there easily overnight. :)

But why did we go to Stuttgart? .. hmm.. right.. again the reason was a musical.
We went to see "The Dance Of The Vampire".

Totale Finsternis

so, in my oppinion.. The musical was lame.... it couldn't bound me at all. I don't know why.. could be that i was too much comparing to other musicals. The songs were good, but sometimes i'd the feeling it was hardly to understand the words they were singing..

However, in total i enjoyed the time with my friends in this city. Altought its not my city at all. Was like the musical, i just wasnt attracted enough to this place..

Hamburg 2010

In the end of Mai 2010 I was in Hamburg with my lovely friend Corinne.. :)

The reason why we have been there was acutally simple.. He's this guy who i met in Canada/Vancouver. :) Just for them they don't know him.. :) The reason why we went to Munich was a concert of Nickelback. So let me back up the whole story from the beginning :)

Our plan was to start on thursday evening. Unfortunately there was too much snow on the street and too many warnings about ice on the road and the frequency of accidents was pretty high. So , we decided to take the train in the early morning of Friday.

Friday 29.01.2010
We arrived in Munich after a almost 4hours train ride. It was wet and pretty windy outside the train, so the only thing we want was finding our hotel as soon as possible. We were really lucky guys that our hotel toke us only a 5minutes walk. The Hotel was called "Hotel Monaco". You want to know how we got to this hotel? hmm... when We were on the trip to Seattle last year, we stayed in a "Hotel Monaco" as well. After all we thought that was a great hotel in Seattle so it'll be great as well in Munich.. :) Anyway, when we found the hotel we had to take the evelator to the 5th floor. yeah right the 5th floor :) we looked also a bit confused but we took it....

on the receptioin was a really friendly woman. We checked in and after few minutes we were in our room. The room was so cute. We had all what we needed, just one thing was missing, we didn't know what we want to do next.. so shopping? or city tour? hmmm we throw our stuff into the next corner, left the room and walked back to the reception. There we asked the Lady behinde, if she may help us, and gave us some suggestions.. so she did. she told us what we should visite and where we can go for a good shopping tripp and also her favorite shopping street. Following we took our caps and tied our scarf and started our first visiting.

We walked back to the maintrainstation and down the Bayerstrasse to the Center of Munich.
The first place we visited was the "Frauenkirche". The Dom is realy interessting and so beautiful in the inside. There are all over the colored windows and on the top this golden arcs, just beautiful. We also took this visiting as a chance to got a bit warm, cause it was soo freezing outside. ;) Later on we walked to the "Viktualienmarkt". I was really impressed to see all those market stolls on this place, even it was cold there were lotz people who were watching, searching and buying all those things what you can get there. The special part was, it was so cold outside and there were all over the place so much snow but it had at least 5 gardeners on this place with all the greand and colorful botanicals. So amazing...
Cause both of us were bothered by hunger we started to search a food place... We walked thru several lanes and at least we found an italien restaurant.
I guess it was our desteny to get into this restaurant, cause at the same time was the princess and the prince of munich in the same restaurant. :) yeah you have seen right,.. the princess and the prince of munic were there :) im so proud now.. :) noooo im just kidding, it was the princesses and prince couple of the carneval. There is a special tradition in Germany where they choos every year a prince and princess couple for the carneval. Every part of Germany has theier own. :) After the warm food we walked thru munich and we did our first shopping tripp. We also crossed the "Brauhaus" (brewery) of Munich.
Lately in the afternoon we walked back to the Hotel to get some rest, but the day wasn't finished at all. Our plan was to go to the "Ratskeller". Yannic got some advices to go there and having dinner. I just can recomand it. Its sooo delicious and so tasty. I really loved it.. the ambiance was so homely. It all of it was just perfect and the service was excellent as well. So i really recommand it, if somebody should search a place for spending a great evening in a beautiful ambiance. Both of us had a great evening and so much impressions of Munich, so we decided to take a walk back to the hotel were we were falling down in our beds and falling asleep pretty soon.

There is just one part i missed in Munich. Normaly the beautiful side of a City in my eyes is the part by night. When all is lighted and silent is over the city. :) i think its a pitty that Munich isn't doing this. So we thought at least the Dom or the city hall would be lighted but there was nothing. So i was a bit disappointed of it, cause i think those buildings would be looking so gorgeous by night, lighted by a pretty shaft of light...

Saturday 30.01.2010
After a hard sleeping nigh,t we got up pretty early. We went to the breakfastroom and both of us were so suppriced about the breakfast. There you got everything you needed... So many choices what you could take. From cheese, meat, eggs, diffrent breads ofer diffrent sorts of cereals, juice and cakes. When we finished this terrific breakfast we went to the reception for asking the lady, if it would be a great visiting The Olympiapark in wintertime. Cause it had snow all over the city, and so we thought we are on the better side when we ask. The woman behinde the reception said it would be pretty intressting specialy the architecture there and the story behinde.. but she also recommandet visiting the "Schloss Nymphenburg" cause it should be like beeing in a myth.
Yannic and I talked about those two places back in the room. We decided for a visite in The Nymphenburg Palace, cause as we thought, we gonna see a part of the Olympiapark by night when we go to the concert.

She was right, we arrived by the Palace and it was so amazing, all was white and so glamorous.
It had a frozen canal and also a frozen lake. Few kiddys where ice-skating on it.. Some old couples were doing curling and several young couples were just enjoing the outcoming sun and the calmness out there. You could hear every step in the snow, ok it was almost 10am, so pretty early in the morning but anyway... it was marvelous! We walked down this small path to the Palace and went in the Palace. It was beautiful inside as well. We just walked thru the main-part of the Palace but it was amazing, so see this part of history... and just to enjoy those impressions...
Later this afternoon we went again for a shoppingtrip but it wasnt so effective as the day before..
On our first foray thru the city we've dicovered "Schnitzelwirt", and we said we wana go there before the finaly concert. So we went there, and it was great down there. The Dinner was excellent. We found so different kind of "schnitzel" and it was so delicious just amazing.

Now the finaly Part. Saturday evening 8pm. Over 13'000 fans standing in the Olympia-Stadium, screaming, clapping and waiting for the band.. than, the light went down.. you could hear some noice from the stage, and the first band started to play.... all fans started to jump and sing with the band... yeah.. "Daughtry" started with the concert. It was great.... they had so amazing vibes and the sound was awesome. The famoust song of them is "No Surprise". When they started with this song, you had to go with the folcs and clap your hands to the rhythm.
The lights went on after a amazing 50minutes show. We stood there and talked all about Daughtry, what we thought about the concert and the band.. All of a sudden it gave a bang... all guys where standing around and kind of shocked and asking what happend there... and than in front on the screen you could discover a countdown..... and the bass was so loud all was in vibrating.. the whole stadium was moving.. so we had the feeling it was.. and there it was..
3-2-1.. baaaaannngggg... here you can see what I mean, the start song was "Something In Your Mouth". It was unbelievable, all guys around us started to jump and to sing, to clap, all together.. i've never expected such a reaction.... was awesome... than after the firstsong, he started talking with us.. and there it was, the canadien-english... yannic and I watched eatch other and we feelt like beeing back in Vancouver. They also entertained us pretty good with jokes and and little games, i just say "I say Nickel, you say back"-"Nickel"-"back"-"Nickel"-"back".... It was so spectacular to enjoy such an amazing band at a really awesome concert.!!! and i know when ever they come back to munich somewhere else ... i'll be there..

her some other clips from the Concert.
Gotta Be Somebody with wonderful lightshow in the beginning.
If Everyone Care, was a special song for the victime and the incident in Haiti, it was a really touching moment for all...
Far away, one of my favorite songs of Nickelback..
How You Reminde Me, i will never forget this concert!!

Sunday 31.01.2010
A pretty short night was over and we had to get up, breakfasting, taking our stuf and checking out.. the kindly woman at the reception asked us how the concert was.. and we told her some parts about it.. actually we spoke a really long time with her... She was really kind to us and it was a pleasure meeting her... she also gave us an advice what we should watch at youtube when we are back home... and i won't deny it from you, my lovely readers..:) I had such a good laught when i watched this movie.

so.. im now at the end,.. the rest isnt that spectacular..
i hope you enjoyed my blog entry and I'll see you by my next adventure.. :)

cheers...

Djerba

Hey My Dear Blog Reader.. :)

i just came home from a week holiday in Djerba :) .. it was so beautiful, as usuall :)
Mainly i went there for my sisters wedding. At least i was there for 10 Days, such a short time.
We arrived there on the 31st of December, so we celabrated New Year on the beach.
It was awesome to be there for New Year, when we arrived i asked my sister, "do you feel like the year is finish ?" - she said " No, cause its sooo hot" ;)
when they started the countdown for middnight we went outside to beach , you could hear the rush of the sea and it was fullmoon night so it was unbelievable amazing :)
btw, happy late new year to all you guys.. :)

one Day i went with my Parents to the Museum in Guellala. I Love this place, its on the "highest" mountain on Djerba. Ok, i guess its just 500m over sea, but its soo beautiful up there. You can enjoy an amazing view over the island. Its so peacfull and calm up there. The Museum self is pretty intressting. It shows lotz of traditional background of Tunesia. I really love it up there and enjoy every time when im there. Its a special place for me to come down and relax. When you can see all those cloth they had to wear for a wedding or working or to be at home in earlier times, thats phantastic to see. Im everytime so impressed when i see it. Even i know all the stories :) this time i was kind of travel-agent for my parents. So i could tell them every single story behind the pictures, the clothes or the scenarios. So they didnt had to read the text on the wall :)

later on holiday, i had no time to discover other places.. sadly.. but i enjoyed my time with my family and my friends from the island :) and i also helped my sister to organise some additional stuff for the wedding :) the wedding self was beautiful , she looked like a princess :)
you can see some pictures of it on facebook :) cause they can show better what i can never explain and describe here :)

so thats all about my short tripp to djerba.. and i know i will be there soon again :)

cu guys later here on this blog :)

New York

New York is pretty famous for Christmas-Shopping, but not for me. So i went there with my dad.. But let me begin in the beginning of the story...

Both of us, my Dad and I aren't really shopping-freaks. It was such a spontaneous idea to go there. Our plane wasn't really to go shopping there, it was more looking around and enjoy the time together and discover a foreign city..

Thursday:
We arrived after an 8hours flight in New York at the JFK Airport. Our airplane was pretty fast at the gate and we could leave the airplane fast as well, BUT it took us more than 1.5 hours to cross the border control. We had to fill in this form, which we already did at home but online. When we asked the lady, why do we've to do this again. She said something pretty inscrutable which had the meaning for me like "just do it and don't ask!!". After the waiting time and the fingerprints we could go and take our lugguage, but, there was no baggage belt named with our town, no wonder cause our suitcases where beside on the wall. So we could go and search our suitcases.

After a funny and still crazy ride with a cab, we arrived safety in the Hotel. First of all i had to call my aunt. Cause we had an appointment at 4pm. on "Top Of The Rock". Unfortunately the border control took us so much time, so we passed the time to get up, even we already had the tickets, but our time frame was over. Anyway, we decided to meet my uncle and aunt in front of the Rockefellercenter. So we spent our first evening together with them in the middle of New York.

Saturday:
The second day started really early, 6am. Thanks jetlag. We left the hotel around 8am and walked thru the Central Park. It was awesome to see this park, it was so calm and you could feel how the city, how the park woke up. Later on we met my uncle and aunt again for a "Hop On Hop Off"- Bus ride. It was pretty interessting. He told us lotz about history and funny stories, also which movie was made where. He said at the special church of Ground Zero, that the place "Ground Zero" isn't called as Ground Zero in New York. It's still called as "World Trade Center". At this stop we left the bus and walked to the World Trade Center.
Following, we walked back to the Brooklyn Bridge. It took us 20minutes to cross the bridge and other 20minutes to walk back. It was such an amazing view of New York City.
My dad and i decided on this evening to try going up at the "Top Of The Rock". We already had tickets, but those were for the day before. We want try to explain this Lady that our flight one day before was delayed and we were not able to get there in time. I explained her all and she smiled friendly and said, "that's no big deal guys, i will check the actually date, let me see.." She came back and gave us two tickets. "enjoy the view". Wow, i've never expected that it would be possible to change the date. It was so amazing up there, and we caught the right time, it was sunset time, it was so surreal. Just amazing, normally you can say, its sunset so you can see how the "world goes sleeping", but not in New York. No, there you can say, "now you can see how the city is being alive". Unbelievable this beauti of the city by night.

Saturday
Saturday was Shopping-Day. We went directly in the beginning into the "m&m's" store, with 3Floors, damn... We spent almost 1 hour in there. It's totally freaky what you can find there. From normal cups over toys and shirts to totally freaky dispensers. I was pretty impressed.
Lately we walked through the town, and looked around in some souvenirs shop's.
In the early afternoon, we had to say goodbye to my aunt and uncle, sadly. I really enjoyed the time with them and im looking forward to see them again, just don't know when..

So I walked alone with my dad through New York City. We've seen lotz times those helicopters flying over NY. So, we had this crazy idea to go there and buy tickets for the helicopters-tour. It was so awesome, i was really speechless. We started few minutes after sunset, so we've seen New York by night and it was really great to see all those buildings with all the lights. I couldn't and I still can't find the right word to descripe the impressions. It was just beautiful the flight was so smooth, I didn't expect that, I thought it would be pretty shaky but it was so calm. Just great.

Sunday:
It was Sunday morning and our last day broke on. We had to checkout at 12am, so we decided to go for a short walk. We never went uptown so, we went through Central Park to Harlem. To be honest, Harlem was the best part in this City. I really enjoyed walking there and watching the guys there. I know, Harlem is kinda "the Ghetto", but I really liked it up there. It was so different comparing with the City. I was just impressed about this part of New York.

For conclusion, New York City is a really interessting place. There is for everyone a special things, from music (jazz, hiphop, classic) , shopping, museums, churches and special and famous buildings. Everybody will find there something which is interessting for the person self. You can have a extremely party city, or the opposite and a friendly, calm city.
And it's crazy once you can be in the middle of the ghetto and on the other side of the street are riche guys driving their Mercedes. That's crazy dude..

My Next Goals...

Hey There,
as I said, im still planing my next few trips.. so ... for sure i'm going to New York City! My uncle and aunt are living outside of Toronto. So i enjoyed after 3 Month Vancouver, 2 weeks Toronto with my family. :)
It was so amazing so see them again. I've seen the whole family, my uncle, aunt, cousin, cousines and her kids.. the whole family from my uncle. Was just pretty awesome..
The special point was, that i could see my cousin, i was looking forward all 3 month long to see him after ages.. and it was great.

For one day I went downtown to Toronto with my uncle and aunt. Afterwards we went to the Niagara Falls. That was awesome.. As i said Toronto isn't my place. On the otherside the Niagara Falls where pretty amazing. it was soo beautiful there. I took a walk in the night with my uncle and we walked to the Falls. They were iluminated by diffrents spotlights and they changed the color. It was just beautiful and i took some .. ok i took many pictures. :)
so we walked from the Falls along the River through the city, back to the Hotel. On the way we crossed the way of a raccon. Guess he was pretty afraid of us.

if you want to read more about my time in Toronto, don't be hesitate to visite my old Blog.
"Tanja allown in Canada!"

salute.

Vancouver 2009

During the Springtime 2009, i visited Vancouver. To be exactly i was there from end of Maerch till end of June. It was an amazing time there. The reason why i went to Vancouver was, that i went to a English-School, to improve my english and to absolve the first-certificated- cambridge-english. The Class we had were really great. We had some funny guys in the class as well as some anoying guys. i wont say any names... ;)
Our teacher wasn't that special and the classes were sometimes pretty borring. What i'm saying here, sometimes? hmm.. let me think about it. No, i'm wronge they were almost everytime pretty borring. Anyway.. we knew how to kill the time during classes. :)

I had some funny advantures beside the class with my new friends, whom i knew from the School.

We did several trips, for example we went to Vancouver-Island and not just once. We went there several times, and it was everytime so diffrent to the last time. So beautiful. Sometimes you thought you were in a dream. The nature there is just amazing, incredible, and just undescribable. you have to go there to see what i mean. :)
we had some really funny stories there, and its a pleasure to treasure those memories.

We also went to Seattle. Seattle was an intressting, homelike, small city. you could walk easily from one point to the other. Howerver, we prefered to "ride a duck". That was a pretty amazing experience.

If you want to read more stories about Vancouver, about a boy in a closet, ice-cream-dreams, standy-park, and many more, so don't hesitate to viste my other blog. Believe me Berlin can be a really big city. :)
anyway it was beautiful and warm. We enjoyed the sunshine and the Berlin-Street-Coffees. was a great time, especially our shoping trip.
but read it self from my friend. http://stueffel.blogspot.com/2008/05/nchtliche-irrfahrten-street-chick-und.html

cheers

Vienna 2008

In February 2008 I went with a friend, who was in the same apprenticeship class as I, to Vienna.
It was a spontaneous idea. He had to go to the Military and so we used this last time before he had to go for a short holiday.

It was a funny time. Our Hotel was outside the City and it had the shap of a pyramid. The Hotel was used for Events, so there were lotz of businessguys.. :) and in the middle thos two tourists..
but we werent that long in the Hotel. We used to spend the time outside the hotel.

One of those days was a really rainy day. So we prefered to go shopping and we were sooo lucky cause we had one of the biggest shopping mals directly in the oposit of the hotel -> theSCS! I guess you can spend a whole day inside there :) so we used this time for shopping.

But we havent done just shopping there, we also visited lotz of places.
What i prefered or what i really enjoyed was the tour to "Schloss Schönbrunn". It was sunny and blue sky and was just relaxing to discover this beautiful, homelike castle.

We visited the other famous buildings of vienna as well. I won't lose many words about it.. so just enjoy some impressions and watch our pictuers!!!

salute.....

I'm Back Again.....

Hey There,
I'm Back from a long writing break..... i really should practice my english, so i'll write a new block.. and i choose the topic traveling becaue i've some planes for holidays and shorttripps.

so hope you enjoy my second-blogg after canada.. :)
